International Student

Diversity is a large part of what makes Allen University a global leader in higher education. Allen University welcomes student from all over the world, including but not limited to the Bahamas, Ghana, South Africa, Japan, West Indies. International students come to Allen as full-time undergraduates.

Am I an International Student?

An international student is considered anyone who is not a U.S. citizen or permanent resident alien is classified as an international student applicant. TOEFL exam scores are required for the student whose primary language is not English. Students who require an F1 (Student) Visa must submit proper financial documentation before a Form I-20 will be issued. The financial statement is available by contacting the international student services coordinator. International Student Services

We understand that our students are far away from home and need some assistance with managing their visa, education and work requirements. The PDSO serves as your liaison to the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services and the U.S. Department of State. Students are encouraged to visit the office to address questions about visas, immigration status, changes in USCIS regulations, and campus resources. 

Admission for International Applicants

A complete application will include:

  • Completed the University application.

  • Official high school and/or college transcript(s); if not in English, an official translation is needed

  • Official TOEFL score (non-native English-speaking students only)

  • Copy of completed application for your files

  • Pay Application fee of $3,000.00 (non-refundable)

  • Official SAT or ACT scores

  • Affidavit of financial support (in U.S. dollars)

  • Copy of passport with Visa and I-94 card


Financing

International applicants must also demonstrate the ability to fulfill the financial obligations associated with matriculation in their college program. Financial assistance at Allen for international applicants is limited.

Once the Office of Admissions has received your complete application, you will be notified within 3 days.
