Allen University is deeply appreciative of the contributions of our many generous alumni and friends. We offer several areas for you to contribute: Annual Fund (our greatest need), General Scholarship Fund, Endowed Scholarships, other naming opportunities, or several other academically-centered areas.
Allen University welcomes gifts of all types and will work with you and your financial advisor to maximize the tax benefit for you and the value of your gift to the University. You may make your gift to Allen University in several ways:
Your personal cash gift is deductible from your adjusted gross income.
Stocks and Bonds
For full tax benefit, securities may be electronically transferred by your broker to the University broker, or you may send unsigned stock certificates by certified mail.
Life Income Gifts
Gifts of appreciated property may generate income for you with positive tax benefits. Examples include gift annuities and charitable remainder trusts.
You may reduce inheritance taxes by designating in your Last Will and Testament specific gifts of cash, property, or a percentage of the remainder of your estate.
Property or assets may stay in the family, while your gift reduces estate taxes and supports Allen University.
Designating Allen University as a beneficiary of a paid-up policy or new policy helps the University’s future endowment and provides you with a tax deduction.
Retained Life Estate
You retain occupancy of the property for life but give your primary or vacation home or farm to the University to generate future income.
Real or Personal Property
You can deduct the full fair-market value of gifts of real estate or personal property (art, antiques, automobiles, etc.).
Retirement Plan Gifts
Remainder interest in IRA, 401k and 403b plans may be designated to provide an income stream to loved ones and ultimately benefit the University at substantial tax savings.

Yellow Jacket Football Returns!
Football has returned to Allen University after nearly 15 years. The team will be under the leadership of Mr. Teddy Keaton.
The Allen “Band of Gold” will take the field fall semester 2018 with Eddie Ellis directing. The band will be historic, both in degree and size. It will be the first marching band program at Allen in over a half century.

About Allen Alumni
Even after graduation, you can continue your connection with Allen University through the General Alumni Association of Allen University, Inc. (GAAAU, Inc.). Every student is automatically a member of the Alumni Association upon graduation. Every year after that association dues are collected. GAAAU, Inc. has been connecting graduates to one another and their alma mater since the mid 1900’s. We welcome you to stay connected with the University and to a network of Allen University alumni worldwide.
Mission of GAAAU, Inc.
One of the core strengths of Allen University is its alumni located around the world. Allen University graduates automatically become members of the Alumni Association upon graduation. There is no membership fee for the first year. The Alumni Association is a 501C-3 non-profit organization that operates within the framework of its Constitution and By-Laws, as approved by the Executive Board. The Alumni Association is organized for the following purposes:
- To articulate the mission and activities, programs and needs of the University to alumni.
- To offer opportunities for personal and professional growth of the University’s alumni.
- To foster relationships among alumni, students and faculty.
- To recognize and increase visibility of alumni accomplishments and achievements within their communities and the University.
- To promote alumni contributions of time, talent and financial support to the University.
- To serve the needs of the alumni with special interests within the framework of the Association.
- To focus the efforts of alumni commitment of service to others.

Alumni Student Recruitment Program
Like most colleges and universities, Allen University is faced with the urgent need of marketing the institution and recruiting the best and brightest students. Currently, major strategies include representation at various college and high school fairs nationally and internationally as the budget will allow; which is why your role is imperative to the overall admissions recruitment plan. The Office of Admissions realizes we cannot attend every recruitment opportunity so we must rely heavily on alumni to assist in representing the institution. We currently utilize state of the art brochures that are colorful and easy to read along with the latest technology and social media.
