Science Fairs allow students the opportunity to study a topic that interests them; however, the STEM Academy students must select from one of the specific areas being researched this summer. Through their projects, students will discover that science is found everywhere in the world and beyond.
In addition, science projects permit students to:

  • Take an open and creative approach to problem solving.
  • Use the process of science to develop an in-depth or thorough understanding of the scientific process.
  • Sharpen their writing skills.
  • Learn that a successful outcome is based on scientific fact.
  • Develop time management skills.
  • Develop public speaking skills during presentations.
