Know a teen who is passionate about the environment, or looking for a new and exciting summer learning experience for your child? The Allen University 2019 Environmental Justice Institute Youth Conference is just what you’re looking for.
More youth are becoming aware of the importance of the environment and our shared responsibility to care for it to ensure its sustainability for future generations. They also recognize the environmental injustices that many underserved communities across the country experience. Their witness to these inequalities are motivating many to become advocates for the individuals and families who are adversely impacted by environmental injustices.
Through hands-on demonstrations, presentations and other fun activities, the 2019 Environmental Justice Institute Youth Conference will expose students to environmental science and empower them to become environmental justice advocates for their own communities or for underrepresented communities.
