(Columbia, S.C.) – Allen University recently received an HBCUgrow LEAD Marketing Gold Award for its public relations efforts.
Allen was nominated for the award because of its use of social media platforms to market the institution to its various constituents including alumni, current students, prospective students and parents of students.
The institution received the award from HBCUgrow, a consortium dedicated to helping HBCUs grow enrollment and alumni giving, and tackle the changing landscape of marketing challenges.
“I accept this award on behalf of President Ernest McNealey, who has continued to not only ensure Allen thrives, but it excels. Our enrollment has continually increased over the last three years, and we have many great things happening at the institution,” Vice President for Institutional Advancement Dub Taylor said in accepting the award.
“This award is an honor and represents only a sample of the stories we have to tell,” Taylor concluded.
